Then, Mr Imtiaz Quettawala introduced Bohra Developers to Gul Ahmed, a leading name in Pakistan’s textile industry. This proved to be a game-changing step in our e-commerce journey and got us into a partnership with two most talked-about names; Orient Textile Mills and Lakhani Silk Mills to further expand our reach in e-commerce solutions. Then it was a non-sales stream. Names like Amir Adnan, Deepak Perwani, and fashion enthusiasts crowded the BD team and we got into selling all Luxury Brands.

This interaction got us in contact with Ms. Noorjehan Bilgrami, the pioneer of preserving traditional crafts and one of the co-founders of the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture. She had a deep-rooted passion for design and her story began forty years ago when she encountered a few craftsmen dipping wooden blocks in dye and stamping the blocks to create patterns. This ignited her journey of block-printing, the very first moment that led to the establishment of Koel.

Ms. Noorjehan’s passion for art introduced her and her daughter Sarah Faruqui to Bohra Developers where she envisioned an eye-capturing, mesmerizingly beautiful yet comprehensive, all-inclusive website. The launch of Koel was the turning point for us as later we got contacted by Ms. Mallika Rangoonwala for another groundbreaking project– the VM Art Gallery. She wanted to have all her artworks presented in a serene space with a minimal yet fascinating layout. Tamgha-e-Imtiaz and the Hilal-e-Imtiaz Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, a name that Pakistan will always remember for the contribution he made to bringing a life-changing difference in the healthcare system by the establishment of the Indus Hospital which later evolved into one of the largest healthcare systems operating today in Pakistan. The CEO of Bohra Developers, Mr. Hatim S. Dabbawala got the prestigious opportunity to meet Dr. Abdul Bari Khan in the days when Hatim was a student at NED.

This interaction brought us a meaningful opportunity to register the Indus Hospital. That was the turning point for us, as we stepped into the world of web presentations of the prestigious works done by philanthropists like Dr. Abdul Bari Khan. The Indus Hospital’s website– www.indushospital.org.pk ‘s initial web design and some basic contributions were made by a two-decade-old team of Bohra Developers.

After the Indus Hospital, Bohra Developers received the honor of serving The Citizens Foundation – big thank you to the founding member of TCF; Mr Mushtaq Chappra who further introduced BD to The Patients Aid Foundation who were looking for some experts in the field of web design and development.

Then Dr. Ghaffar Billo– the founder of HANDS and his team, Dr. Tanveer Ahmed– Chief Executive of HANDS, Shaikh Maaz Tanveer– Head of Communication, Resource Development and Sustainability Department of HANDS, and Laal Muhammad Jaan– senior communication manager of HANDS found Bohra Developers by search engines (Google and Yahoo) for their online donations project at HANDS.

This happened not only with HANDS but also in the early days when Bohra Developers was new to the field, Fatimid Foundation got in touch with Bohra Developers and we were awarded jobs on merit.

For the project of HANDS, Bohra Developers dedicated their efforts to opening the gateways to online payments, helping the organizations receive donation money, and enabling the donors to reach the right welfare institution. A well-known glass manufacturing company – Impala Glass, based in Kenya has always been the most looked-for brand when it comes to trusted quality and precise manufacturing of glass products. At a time when Balochistan was perceived as a risk to national health, we pressed on, driven by our commitment to see the project through.

Six months of persistence, determination, and overcoming many hurdles finally resulted in the launch of the grand website in 2008. It was more than a technical achievement—it was a testament to our belief that hard work and passion could lead to extraordinary outcomes. The recognition came swiftly.
